Join us for a fun Japan themed evening. Meet an official from our sister city, Oita: Takahiro Yoshikawa. Yoshikawa-san has been in Austin on an exchange program since last August. He will be providing an overview of Oita, and upcoming events they are hosting such as the Rugby World Cup.
The Japan Oita #OitaATX 2019 Festival is hosted by the Austin-Oita Sister City Committee, a non-profit, volunteer organization founded in 1990. The family friendly event celebrates Japanese culture with residents of the Austin area. Oita, Japan is one of Austin’s 13 Sister Cities.
The 2019 Japan-Texas Leadership Symposium is a program of Sister Cities International in partnership with the Koyamada International Foundation (KIF), hosted by the City of San Antonio and supported by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This first-of-its-kind sister cities symposium is being presented to enhance the longstanding bonds of friendship and collaboration between Japan and the United States at the sub-national level, especially as it pertains to business, cultural, and community exchanges

Austin-Koblenz Sister City Committee, the German-Texan Heritage Society and Austin Saengerrunde bring Karneval, a 800-year old tradition to Texas! Well, we will do it "Austin Style" - live music, kid's entertainment hot weather, and just a little weird...and of course with plenty of German Wurst, dance, and beers!

Join the Austin-Saltillo Sister Cities Association and Mexic-Arte Museum on Friday, November 9 from 6-9pm for a special reception and presentation of "50 Years of Friendship and Memories". The book chronicles the past five decades of friendship, respect, and mutual exchange between Sister Cities Austin, Texas and Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. There will be complementary beverages and antojitos.
