A Celebration of the 11 Days of Global Unity and the International Day of Peace!
The Eleven Days of Global Unity begin on September 11 and will culminate onSeptember 21, the U.N. International Day of Peace. In Austin, this is an opportunity to come together in spirit and action for greater peace. For a listing of events throughout the community, go to www.peacedayaustin.org.
 
Peace Through Diplomacy, a GlobalAustin event, recognizes the important role of diplomacy in creating greater peace. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a networking reception, followed by a delicious dinner provided by Bon Appetit Catering, and dessert sponsored by Amy’s Ice Cream. Special guests include Caroline Morris of St. Edward’s University, Julie Kavanagh, our Department of State Diplomat-in-Residence for Texas, and keynote speaker Kevin Tuerff, author of “Channel of Peace: Stranded in Gander on 9/11”. Read more about Kevin here.
