Join us for a special evening celebrating the 25th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Austin, Texas, and Gwangmyeong, South Korea!

Hosted by the Austin–Gwangmyeong Sister City Committee, this milestone celebration will bring together community leaders, distinguished guests, and members of the Korean-American community to honor 25 years of friendship, cultural exchange, and international cooperation between our two cities.

The evening will feature welcoming remarks from local and international leaders, official mayoral proclamations, a recognition and awards ceremony, and a buffet-style Korean dinner. Guests will also enjoy exciting K-pop performances and traditional Korean dance, celebrating the rich culture and enduring friendship that connect Austin and Gwangmyeong.

Remarks and greetings from distinguished guests and community leaders, recognizing the significance of the Austin–Gwangmyeong sister city relationship.

6:35 PM – 6:45 PM | Recognition and Awards Ceremony
Honoring individuals and organizations for their contributions to the Austin–Gwangmyeong relationship and the U.S.–Republic of Korea alliance.

6:45 PM – 8:00 PM | Korean Dinner and Cultural Performances
Enjoy a buffet-style Korean dinner alongside performances by Debbie's K-Pop Dance Team and Uri Karak Traditional Dance Group.
